Cross-contamination is a real but preventable risk. To ensure that there is as little confusion as possible on good practice and guidance, a recommended Colour Chart, which assigns 4 different colours to 4 designated cleaning areas, was developed for the Cleaning Industry.
Segregating cleaning areas is key and colour coding ensures that certain cleaning products and equipment are only used in specific areas.
